Spring on the screen: Cagliari hosts Skepto International Film Festival

Sardinia in spring opens its doors to all those passionate about cinema, photography and visual arts. In fact, from the 14th to the 18th of April there is a big event taking place in the main town, Cagliari: Skepto International Film Festival, that this year celebrates its VI edition. For five evenings the Festival will entertain visitors around the narrow streets of La Marina, old district overlooking the arbor.

Every year the Festival presents a wide selection of audiovisual works coming from all over the world, ranging from different styles and formats such as narrative stories, documentaries, animation projects, video-clips, mobile videos and much more: a rich offer that includes both unreleased screenings and already awarded projects recognized outside of the major film studio system.

The ambition behind Skepto is to create a space to share ideas and improve dialogue across cultures through the medium of cinema: accordingly, major productions involved in the Festival will be screened also in other town around Italy and Europe, starting with Bologna, London, Berlin, Barcelona and Tirana.

As expected by a proper competition, a key role during the Fest will be played by a jury of experienced figures involved in the world of independent cinema: a team that includes renown authors of major cinema dictionaries and reviews, filmmaker, journalists and creative minds such as Willis-Jones.
